St. Louis Public Radio is seeking a full-time talk show producer to produce broadcast and digital content for its talk show program St. Louis on the Air and other special broadcasts.

The producer will be responsible for producing, researching and booking guests for show segments, and producing other broadcast content. The job also entails contributing to the show’s digital presence, helping to ensure the show has a consistent voice online and in social media.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have:

  • the ability to produce compelling, thoughtful and thought-provoking show content on-air and online;
  • the capacity to understand challenges and opportunities that face the St. Louis region and interpret the region’s connection to national and global issues;
  • enthusiasm for finding new ways to increase the impact of our work;
  • audio production skills.

A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related area is required. A minimum of one year of journalism or communications experience is also necessary. More experience is preferred, along with radio and audio production expertise.
