Summary

Apart from Washington, D.C., the most important place in American policy and politics right now might well be Sacramento. The decisions made by elected officials in this City of Trees affect far more than California’s 40 million people.

Capital Public Radio is offering an opportunity to cover the Golden State’s government and politics — including its “Super Tuesday” presidential primary in March and next year’s election — as a full-time Politics Reporter on its award-winning and fast-growing team.

This reporter will be one of CapRadio’s lead journalists covering the state Capitol, including the governor’s office, lawmakers and the legislative session.

The position requires a nimble journalist who is adept at cultivating sources and identifying what matters in a quick-moving political environment.
