Summary
As CapRadio’s Network System Specialist you will perform professional level duties in the analysis, evaluation, design, development, documentation, maintenance and administration of local and wide area networks; to install, configure, manage and backup network servers, switches, firewalls routers and related devices.

Education and Experience

  • Cisco CCNA and Microsoft MCSA certifications required.
  • Associate’s degree with major course work in computer science or a related field or three years of experience in the design, development, management and administration of local and wide area networked systems.

  • Vmware
  • Windows Server 2008, 2016
  • Active directory and DNS
  • Office 365
  • Cisco routers, firewalls
  • Scripting skills using Perl, Ruby or Python
  • Cloud environment (AWS or Azure)


Knowledgeable in:

  • Network infrastructure design, configuration and development
  • Network server configuration, administration and management
  • Network security
  • Database design, administration and security
  • Philosophy and practices of programming
  • Methods and techniques of developing and implementing training programs
  • Methods and techniques of developing systems technical documentation
  • Operational characteristics of personal computers and associated hardware, software and peripheral devices

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the development and implementation of networked security systems including firewall design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and administration
  • Identify unauthorized access and potential security risks
  • Implement and administer security strategies
  • Monitor network traffic to ensure capacity and functional efficiency
  • Install, configure and manage network file and application servers
  • Research and develop techniques for standardization across networked systems and computing environments
  • Design, administer and manage network databases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and applications problems
  • Manage data backups across multiple systems and sites
  • Archive data to ensure the integrity and security of media and data
  • Perform technical writing duties in the development and production of system documentation and instructional or procedural manuals
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Salary And Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 We offer:
