WKSU has an incredible opportunity for a journalist interested in helping to craft and guide the coverage of a region with a rich diversity of stories to tell.  We’re looking for a multimedia editor who has the drive and creativity to help shape the audio storytelling of a team of talented reporters and bring innovation and imagination to how those stories are told in the digital realm. We want someone with the desire to grow as a leader, working collaboratively within the newsroom and with external partners.  WKSU is a place where we encourage creativity and experimentation in a collaborative culture. This is a rare opportunity to have it all:  a great job while living in one of the culturally richest parts of the country. Northeast Ohio is full of surprises: it is the birthplace of LeBron James, and the home of the Goodyear Blimp.  There is a tradition of arts excellence.  We are Devo, Chrissie Hynde and the Black Keys.  We are at the heart of a region that boasts an incredible national park and amazing biking and hiking trails! We have so many wonderful restaurants and talented, nationally recognized chefs.  We’re a place overflowing with incredible microbreweries and local vineyards, a lower cost-of-living and a wonderful quality of life. This is a region that offers all the benefits of big-city life and the charm of small-town living.

WKSU has a tradition of award-winning journalism and a legacy stretching back more than 65 years.  We are Ohio’s largest FM radio station; with five transmitters and two translators, we cover 22 counties in Northeast Ohio, and have a potential audience of four million people in Akron, Cleveland and Canton.  Our listeners can be found there, in their suburbs and the farms and countryside beyond.  Our newsroom at our main broadcast facility in Kent is two years old and our Akron bureau is brand new.  We have the resources and the commitment to cover the region.  Do you have the ambition and drive to be the next member of our team?
